Meet Frank Ski

OUR LIVING LEGEND

Frank Ski is an award-winning radio and television personality, disc jockey, motivational speaker, journalist, and philanthropist who has hosted the nationally syndicated radio show, The Frank Ski Show, for the past three decades. He leaves a footprint of excellence wherever he goes. Atlanta’s V103FM and KISS 104.1, WHUR 96.3FM in Washington DC, and Baltimore's V103 and 92Q have all experienced record-breaking Arbitron ratings during his broadcast daypart.

Frank Ski’s distinctive voice, storytelling acumen, and infectious laughter keep people tuned in and coming back for more. He masterfully integrates local and national headlines into topical subject matters and no-holds-barred commentary that engages listeners and viewers, closing each show with The Inspirational Vitamin, a daily dose of positivity and encouragement. The formula that has kept Frank Ski on your airwaves is the fun banter, relatable perspective, and impactful colorful conversations he has with celebrity guests.

Once he turns off the microphone at the end of his show, his passion for connecting with the audience, making a difference, and creating opportunities extends beyond radio. When not on-air or in front of the camera, philanthropy is Frank Ski's passion. He is the Founder & Director of The Frank Ski Kids Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to exposing kids to futures in science, technology, athletics, and the arts.

Since its inception, The Frank Ski Kids Foundation has provided once-in-a-lifetime experiences for children, including all-expenses-paid expeditions exploring places across the globe including Rome, Florence, The Amazon Rainforest, Ecuador, The Galapagos Islands, The Charles Darwin Research Station, as well as annual events such as the Youth Bowl and Kids Week. Hundreds of young people in the Atlanta and Washington DC metro areas benefit from the positive opportunities the foundation provides each year. As a result, The Frank Ski Kids Foundation has received numerous awards and honors, including Black Enterprise Magazine's National Community Champion Award.

On Earth Day, April 22nd, through his label, Future Sights and Sounds, Frank Ski will release a series of singles from Climate Change, an ambient soundtrack to the unforgettable travels inspired by Frank Ski Kid’s Foundation’s (FSKF) explorations of the world. The first single from that project, “Amazon Sunrise (Lovely Day)” is a modern take on “Lovely Day,” Bill Wither’s 1977 classic.

Equally notable, is Frank Ski's name in the music industry. In 1992, Frank Ski released the Billboard Magazine nominated Independent Record of The Year "Doo Doo Brown.” Ski went on to produce many Rap, Dance, and Gospel hits for not only himself but many artists, including Luke, Hezekiah Walker, and others. Ski won a Gospel Stellar Award for his work on Hezekiah Walker's song "99 1⁄2". He has other hits under his belt, including "Wobble" and the 1992 track "Whores in This House," a massive club hit that was sampled in 2020 on the megahit “WAP” by Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion, and also in 2018 by Lil Wayne and Gucci. Ski also brought his musical talent to the big screen contributing songs to The Player's Club (1996), Ax ‘Em (2002), HBO's The Corner (2000), and The Wire (2002) soundtracks.
